Usui Shiki Ryoho Second Degree Reiki
Personal and Professional Practice
Reiki Training
Second Degree
The Second Degree of Reiki training builds upon the foundational knowledge and skills acquired in the First Degree. At this level, practitioners delve deeper into Reiki principles and techniques, focusing on mastering advanced methods for both hands-on and distant healing. While the First Degree primarily emphasizes self-healing and healing within close circles, the Second Degree equips practitioners with the proficiency to use Reiki in professional practice. See below for a more detailed description.
Prerequisites
• Successful completion of Usui Shiki Ryoho First Degree – Personal Practice (or equivalent*).
• A minimum of 21 days preferably 2 – 3 months after completion of First Degree.
• An established regular personal practice of self-healing and may include practice on others.
* Students from other traditions or teachings must be able to provide evidence of training and demonstrate completion of similar content, having been individually and in-person initiated by their Reiki Master Teacher. Those who do not meet these criteria will be required to review First Degree before proceeding with the Second Degree training.
Synopsis
The Usui Shiki Ryoho Second Degree training further develops upon the foundational knowledge and skills obtained in the First Degree. Students delve deeper into Reiki principles and techniques, mastering advanced methods for distance and emotional healing. Moreover, they gain proficiency in utilizing sacred symbols, which enhance the flow of Reiki energy and empower practitioners to serve their clients more effectively. This workshop seamlessly blends personal growth with professional development, highlighting ethical considerations, practical techniques, and spiritual insights.
Rationale
As practitioners progress in their Reiki journey, it becomes crucial to deepen their understanding and refine their skills for professional practice. The second degree of Reiki training provides practitioners with essential tools and techniques necessary to expand their practice into professional settings. To practice Reiki professionally, individuals are typically required to join a professional association and obtain insurance. These associations often mandate completion of at least the second degree of Reiki training as a prerequisite for membership, ensuring practitioners meet established standards of competency and ethics in offering Reiki services to the public. Thus, undertaking this level of training not only signifies personal growth but also demonstrates readiness to responsibly serve others within the professional realm.
